Pre-wedding shoot – Dovestones
I absolutely LOVE doing pre-wedding shoots with our couples. It’s a great chance to get to know each other!
A lot of people who enquire with us ask about what it entails so here are some images this couple received as part of their shoot with us.
Jen and Mike are having a Lake District Wedding at The Wild Boar next spring, and chose autumn to have their shoot for those lovely browns and oranges in the background.
The bride-to-be dressed perfectly to compliment their surroundings – perfect for a day date and a romantic walk. Always dress for the weather – Jen’s coat, scarf and hat provided warmth and style (Mike’s warmth and style was provided to him by his beard!)
We met for a coffee at The White Hart Inn at Lydgate, a gorgeous country pub just 10 minutes from Dovestone Reservoir. We chatted about their plans for the wedding, and how they had found the process, before heading out for the shoot.
Initially having a camera there can be a bit intimidating, but I find just going for a walk and having a chat with the couple is the best way to find out a bit more about them and ease them into the shoot. My ‘posing’ is extremely relaxed, with very little direction given. It’s all about trying to get comfortable, and playing a few word games to get them loosened up a bit. We chatted about movies and all things geek!
I’m sure you’ll agree these guys did great!
