Winter Pre-wedding Shoot
I spoke to Chris a couple of weeks before our shoot, to go through what would happen on the day. I’d initially gone to ‘advise’ Chris on dressing appropriately for the weather, he stopped me in my tracks – I think he must have seen me in my ‘old man chic’ attire and thought I wasn’t the one for fashion advice, haha – he stopped me mid-sentence with reassurance that they knew what they were doing, they were right.
Though there were initial nerves when we met up at Rivington Barn, we got right into the swing of things. Rivington is the perfect setting for any season, although it rained for the most part, but we embraced the conditions and had a wander. Chris and Linzi both wore layers, which was useful to get a few different looks from them, and also useful with the unpredictable rainfall in the north west. They’re both stylish but practical which is exactly what we needed for a pre-wedding shoot in wet weather. The aim was to capture them two as a couple and their connection to each other in a natural environment.
Unless you’re getting married abroad (and yes, we welcome travel), you can’t predict the weather and whether its your pre-wedding shoot or your wedding day- just roll with whatever happens and you’ll enjoy the day, and your pictures will look amazing!
These crazy kids are getting married in February, cross your fingers for them please!
