Nunsmere Hall Wedding
Nunsmere Hall in Cheshire is the setting for this wedding, and anyone who has been there knows that it is one stunning venue. The happy couple tied the knot in the family church a fair few miles away in Southport, where Lorna’s parents got married a few years before, and then made the journey to the reception venue. Getting 11 bridesmaids ready is a task, but Lorna enjoyed a seemingly relaxed morning, and through the formalities at the church, continued the casual vibe right past the speeches (where her dad brandished a bb-gun and a drill – all in a light-hearted warning to the groom to look after his daughter!) and the bird-of-prey display.
We managed to get the couple alone for some portraits, and as it was a beautiful day with light right up to and beyond the first dance, we were able to create some beautiful shots at a couple of different points.
Capturing couples who have a connection is a dream for a photographer, as we really want to photograph all the intimacies and quirks of the new husband and wife. Capturing the casual moments during the day is so important to us, and when the couple receive their images, we love that they can sit together and pick out moments from the day that they didn’t know happened!
