A Lancashire Manor Wedding
Cheryl first met us at a wedding fair in Wigan, and she told us about her plans for her December wedding at the beautiful Lancashire Manor!
Having just moved in together, Cheryl had her morning preparations at her parents house, while Matt got ready at their new home with the boys. Cheryl and the bridesmaids looked effortlessly beautiful!
St Catharine’s Church in Scholes is a gorgeous place to hold a ceremony, with two levels which meant we could get both photographers capturing the vows and the smiles from several angles. After the service (with the very cool Reverend Samantha Nicholson) we headed outside for group portraits, and then quickly on to our reception venue.
Capturing Lancashire Manor at Christmas time was pretty perfect. The Great Hall is a lovely stone building, with the most amazing chandeliers. Rebecca Karen provided the venue decor, along with centrepieces lovingly handmade by the bride.
The day was very relaxed, with Cheryl and Matthew were an absolute joy to photograph. A vintage inspired bridal gown from Something Blue Bridal Boutique and lovely deep red bridesmaid dresses – Trudy Smith Bridal – set up an amazing winter scene.
For a December wedding, the light was fantastic, and dry from beginning to end. There was an epic best man speech and a quiz on the couple, hosted by Matt’s sister, which were lovely little touches to the day.
We had a couple of quick portrait sessions with the newlyweds throughout the day, this also gave them a chance to take a step back and spend time alone together to take it all in. We even managed to get a night-time portrait session involving some twinkly fairy lights, which was a lovely way to end the day.
Congratulations to Matt and Cheryl, and thank you for letting me be a part of your amazing day.
